Period calculator

Predict when your next period will start and see the dates of your next six periods, based on your own cycle and period length.

Private: the calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent or saved.

How we predict your periods

Each new period is expected one cycle length after the start of the last one. We add your cycle length to the first day of your last period again and again to list your next six periods, and use your period length to show roughly how long each will last. If your last period was a while ago, we roll forward to the next one that is still to come.

Real cycles shift a little from month to month, so treat these dates as a guide. If you are hoping to conceive, the ovulation calculator shows your fertile window too.

Frequently asked questions

What is a normal cycle length?

Cycles commonly last anywhere from about 21 to 35 days, and it is normal for yours to vary by a few days from month to month.

My period is late. Could I be pregnant?

A late period can be a sign of pregnancy, but stress, illness, travel, weight changes and many other things can also delay it. If there is a chance you are pregnant, a home pregnancy test is the simplest next step.

When should I talk to a doctor about my periods?

Speak to your doctor if your periods suddenly change, become very heavy or painful, stop for three months or more (and you are not pregnant), or if you bleed between periods or after sex.
